Stratus is currently hiring Account Executives to join its team in Illinois.
The Account Executive is responsible for all aspects of the sales and maintaining overall customer satisfaction. The Account Executive focuses on sales to new small and medium-sized business customers, increasing revenue in existing accounts, introducing new products to customers within the market, and meeting and exceeding sales goals. An Account Executive is competitive enough to keep up with the constant changes in the telecom industry and talented at effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Responsibilities for the Account Executive include cold calling, networking, maintaining internal and external business relationships, strategizing sales opportunities, providing customer solutions, engaging support teams when necessary, handling customer concerns, closing sales for the successful acquisition of new client accounts, as well as introducing and selling new products to existing accounts.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and exceed quota and sales goals.
Ensure penetration of new accounts and retention of existing accounts.
Cold call, develop and generate new customer relationships.
Utilize networking channels and social media to leverage new and existing products and gain referrals.
Maintain relationships with existing accounts, introduce new products to them and develop and generate additional sales whenever possible.
Provide customer service, resolve, or escalate issues as needed.
Immediately resolve customer concerns as they arise.
Inform leadership on all new competitive information obtained in the market.
Maintain potential and existing customer account information by carefully updating records in Salesforce to enhance follow-up capabilities.
Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate sales forecasting and to produce detailed activity reporting.
Partner with Sales Engineers, Voice Solution Specialists, Sales Overlays, and other support groups when necessary to assure ultimate customer satisfaction post-implementation.
Ensure timely reporting to leadership whenever necessary.
Skills:
Proven experience as an Account Executive, or in other sales/customer service role
Knowledge of market, sales, and negotiating principles
Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Salesforce) is a plus
Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
Organizational and time-management skills
A business acumen
