NETWORK ENGINEER
Location:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure for SMBs (small to medium-sized businesses). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in networks, a passion for solving complex problems, and a commitment to ensuring optimal network performance and security.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design and Implementation: Assist in architecting, configuring, and deploying network solutions that support the company’s telecommunications services in the SMB market. Ensure that designs meet industry standards and are scalable for future growth.
- Working on the backbone of internet service providers, managing wide-area networks (WANs), and ensuring reliable service delivery to customers.
- Managing and optimizing telecommunications networks, including mobile networks, VoIP, and other communication systems.
- Implementing and maintaining the network systems that support voice, data, and video communications.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance issues. Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure the stability and security of the network.
- Overseeing network performance, addressing latency, and ensuring uptime for large customer bases.
- Work on daily escalations.
- Project Management: Participate in projects working with new products, refreshing existing products as well as adding new routers, etc.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of network services.
- Security Management: Implement and manage network security protocols to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize network performance to improve efficiency, reduce latency, and enhance overall user experience.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering.
- Proficiency in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
- Experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
- Network engineering experience within the telecommunications industry.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Location: Remote within Central Illinois (Bloomington or Peoria area)

Responsibilities for the Inside Sales Executive include cold calling, maintaining internal and external business relationships, strategizing sales opportunities, providing customer solutions, engaging support teams when necessary, and closing sales for the successful acquisition of new client accounts, as well as introducing and selling new products to existing accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and exceed quota and sales goals.
- Ensure penetration of new accounts and retention of existing accounts.
- Cold call, develop and generate new customer relationships.
- Utilize networking channels and social media to leverage new and existing products and
gain referrals.
- Maintain relationships with existing accounts, introduce new products to them, and
develop and generate additional sales whenever possible.
- Provide customer service, and resolve, or escalate issues as needed.
- Immediately resolve customer concerns as they arise.
- Inform leadership of all new competitive information obtained in the market.
- Maintain potential and existing customer account information by carefully updating
records in Salesforce to enhance follow-up capabilities.
- Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate sales forecasting and to produce detailed activity reporting.
- Partner with Sales Engineers, Voice Solution Specialists, Sales Overlays, and other
support groups when necessary to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction
post-implementation.
- Ensure timely reporting to leadership whenever necessary.
Requirements:
- 2- 3 years of demonstrated sales success.
- Excellent understanding of how to strategically sell within Stratus’s segment.
- Ability to multitask while seeking new opportunities.
- Provide a consultative approach to uncover client needs and negotiate costs and services.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong writing capability.
Preferred Requirements:
- Sales-level expertise with Stratus’ core solution areas: internet (DIA, Broadband), SD Wan, Voice, and Cloud connectivity.
