Summary:
Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of Java, JSP, Apache Tomcat, and JavaScript. This developer position will be working with a programming team to maintain, modify, and develop complex web applications.
Primary Requirements:
Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills using knowledge, experience and understanding of basic Internet concepts along with necessary software, databases, and programming languages.
Code in common web development technologies such as Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, AJAX, etc.
Relational Database experience, such as PostgreSQL and IBM Informix databases.
Experience in Eclipse and source control tools like CVS repository.
Maintain and modify programs, make approved changes, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
Test and develop programming modifications.
Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
Linux/Unix and Windows server administration skills.
Assist personnel of other departments as IT resource.
Other duties as assigned.
Applications must be willing to relocate within 3 hours of Peoria, IL. Have a vehicle and be willing to come to the office once a week.
Knowledge and Education:
Knowledge of company programming procedures and programming languages. Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports. Ability to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications. Knowledge of computer flow charts and of programming logic and codes. Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications. Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions. Ability to learn and support new systems and applications. Ability to administer databases and do database programming. Work with users, requiring interpersonal skills. This is normal acquired through a combination of a bachelor’s degree of at least (5) years of programming experience.
