Channel and Alliances Manager

Responsibilities:

● Command the Channel – Recruit, Build, lead, and scale a high-performance portfolio of
channel partners and resellers.
● Set the Pace – Create and execute aggressive growth strategies, lead partner recruitment,
and deliver consistent performance.
● Drive Revenue – Identify new market opportunities, negotiate high-stakes deals, and hold
partners accountable to performance goals.
● Own the Metrics – Track KPIs, forecast pipelines, and ensure sales targets aren’t just
met—they’re crushed.
● Collaborate to Win – Partner with marketing, product, and executive teams to roll out new
initiatives and support channel success.

What We’re Looking For:
● 5+ years of channel sales or channel management experience in any: Cloud based
networking, SaaS, IaaS, UCaaS, MSPs, and WAN networking in the telecommunications
space.
● Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and scaling channel programs.
● Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills—you know how to close and how to
influence.
● High energy, high ownership, and a no-excuses mindset.
● Data-driven with the ability to quickly pivot based on performance metrics.
● Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and partner portal management.

About the Role: As a Sales Engineer at Stratus Networks, you will play a pivotal role in our sales efforts. You will collaborate closely with our sales team and leverage your technical expertise to support our customers in understanding and implementing our telecommunications solutions. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen, customer relationship management, and a passion for driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Expertise: Understand and articulate the technical aspects of our telecommunications products and services, demonstrating how they meet customer needs.
• Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including telecom operators, enterprise, midmarket and small business customers, to identify their specific requirements, pain points, and IT goals.
• Solution Design: Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers, providing technical guidance and assistance in creating proposals.
• Product Presentations: Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the benefits and capabilities of our telecommunications solutions.
• Technical Support: Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, addressing their questions and concerns and ensuring a smooth transition from sale to implementation.
• Sales Support: Assist the sales team in preparing and presenting proposals, quotes, and technical documentation to potential clients, including Visio network diagrams. Good questioning and listening skills
• Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in the telecommunications sector, sharing insights with the team to drive innovation.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for customers, partners, and internal teams on our products and services, ensuring a deep understanding of their features and benefits.
• Voice of the Customer: Gather feedback from prospects and customers and communicate it to the product development and engineering teams to contribute to product improvements and enhancements.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in a sales engineer role.
• Expert product knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including Ethernet, Dedicated Internet, Broadband, MPLS, and network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of managed solutions such as SD-WAN, cloud services (infrastructure as a service) and hosted voice/unified communications a plus.
  • Successful candidates must be experts in both the technology as well as the commercial market for these services in the US.
• Proven experience in technical sales or pre-sales support within the telecommunications industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and elicit customer needs and priorities during sales discovery.
• Customer-focused mindset and a passion for solving customer challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
• CCNA, CCDA, CCIE, or equivalent a major plus
• Keyboard engineering knowledge
